Enhanced Teaching Assistant for 1:1 Support. Required 1st September 2018. This is a temporary post linked to a named child.

The Governors are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, committed and experienced Enhanced Teaching Assistant who will play a key role in individual and small group support for an identified child with multiple difficulties. The successful individual will support the Class Teacher in the teaching and welfare of the assigned individual.

We are looking for someone who:
• Has experience in caring for children with physical and personal care needs
• Demonstrates excellent behaviour management skills
• Is able to work as a part of a team, learning with and from other colleagues
• Enjoys working independently and with initiative
• Is able to work effectively with children either individually and in small groups to enable them to achieve their best
• Is highly organised and has good time management skills
• Is flexible, proactive and resourceful
• Demonstrates good English and Mathematics skills (GCSE Grade C or equivalent)
• Has a good knowledge of phonics
• Has excellent communication skills, both oral and written
• Understands confidentiality and safeguarding procedures

Essential Qualifications:
NNEB, BTEC National Diploma, NVQ level 3, CACHE level 3 or equivalent
GCSE grade C or above in English and Maths,
Evidence of CPD relating to special needs
