We would like to recruit an Enterprise Support Worker within the councils Adult Social Care Provider Service to support service users who have a learning disability and autism to participate in work related activities, develop work skills and independence, with the aspiration of gaining employment.

You will enable a young lady to engage in the activities of the enterprises, manage allocated responsibilities, and support the individuals needs in a person centred, dignified and respectful way. Liaising and communicating with colleagues, carers and other professionals to share knowledge and seek advice, to ensure the appropriate level of support is provided via a support and development plan.

To actively support the development and delivery of the enterprises aims and objectives, marketing of services and provide effective customer care. Support the development, implementation and monitoring of safe working practices. Assist in the gathering of information, and updating and maintenance of information systems. Handling money associated with enterprise activity, and follow appropriate dress codes.

You will be required to work in a flexible way to effectively meet the individual and enterprise needs, which may include early mornings, evenings and weekends, and any other duties allocated, which are appropriate to the grade of the post.

It is essential that you have a minimum NVQ Level 2 in Social Care or equivalent qualification, have knowledge of key policies and legislation relating to disability, safeguarding vulnerable adults and health and safety legislation and person centred approaches. You will have experience of working within a team and independently, communicating effectively using a range of mediums, and managing risks.

You will hold a current driving licence and have access to a car, or means to mobility support.

The post is fixed term for a period of six months, and may be extended.
