We are hosting a number of sessions on 17 July 2018 at South Hylton House, Sunderland, SR4 0JL.

You will find out more about the Service, the available vacancies as well as guidance on completing your application form and interview skills.
Opportunities are available to join the team to carry out investigations into relevant environmental crimes and deliver formal actions in accordance with the Councils Environmental Enforcement Policy
You will liaise with members of the public and proprietors of businesses to give advice and guidance on relevant matters, seeking to ensure compliance with relevant environmental legislation.
You should have a detailed knowledge of the Clean Neighbourhoods & Environment Act 2005 and also the Environmental Protection Act 1990 and other relevant environmental legislation. You will also be required to conduct interviews in accordance with the Codes of Practice issued under the Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984 ("PACE") upon appointment, or be capable of achieving this requirement very soon after appointment. You should have good communication, customer care and computing skills.
You must have a current full UK driving licence and have a flexible approach to work as you may be required to work out of normal hours including weekends.
