We are seeking to recruit a number of experienced child and family practitioners to our Referral and Assessment and Safeguarding teams. Job profiles are aligned to the knowledge and skills statements for social workers and the salary offer reflects the calibre of applicant we are looking to attract. You will join a group of highly effective and motivated staff who are committed to continuous improvement following our 'good' Ofsted judgement.


It is essential that you have a relevant Social work qualification or equivalent (SW Degree, CQSW, Dip SW or CSS) and evidence of PQ training. You must be registered with the HCPC. You must have knowledge of child care legislation and statutory guidance, child protection and multi-agency working, corporate parenting responsibilities and Government policy contexts and drivers. Experience of practising Social Work in a statutory setting and within statutory frameworks is also essential.

You will be a highly skilled and experienced Social Worker with at least 2 years experience of front-line child-care social work. You will be passionate about your work and have a genuine commitment to relational social work as an agent for change. You will have sound assessment and analytical skills and be able to demonstrate a confident, evidence based evaluation of risk. In addition you will have demonstrable ability in delivering strength based approaches through your engagement with families.
