An SEN provision in North Tyneside is recruiting for a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to work with pupils with Autism and ASD. The position will be to work between two sites and will start in September 2018 for one academic year on a fixed term contract.

The quality of teaching in this school is good with some examples of outstanding practice. Behaviour is good inside and outside the classroom, all students show courtesy and considerate attitudes to staff, visitors and each other. Members of the governing body have a range of skills which means they offer effective support and challenges to senior leadership.

Successful applicants will:
  • Demonstrate a positive impact on pupil development
  • Be pro-active, enthusiastic, energetic and reliable
  • Have the ability to motivate and engage children
  • Be able to work independently using your initiative
  • Have a minimum of 6 months recent experience within a UK setting
  • Hold a Level 3 or equivalent qualification in a relevant education or child care discipline.
