The Executive Head Teacher and Trust Board of Oak Learning Trust seek to recruit a diligent, conscientious and skilled Facilities Assistant. Although based at George Washington, this appointment is to Oak Learning Trust and movement between Trust schools is a requirement.
The post involves responsibility for site/premises security, cleaning and basic maintenance.

The Trustees are looking to appoint a Facilities Assistant to provide an efficient and effective service to the Trust and its users. Reporting to the Estates Manager, the successful candidate will support the smooth running of daily school functions, locking and unlocking the site and to respond, as appropriate, to the changing needs of the schools within the Trust.
Applicants should have an understanding of security, health and safety and porterage and be able to use their initiative. The position also involves being proactive about keeping the schools safe as well as upkeep of general maintenance. Experience of working within a school environment would be an advantage, however, a similar role in premises/maintenance would be considered. The ability to work as part of a team is essential.

You will be required to work during term times and for two weeks during school holidays as directed and agreed with the Estates manager. At least one week will be during the long summer holiday for essential maintenance.
