learningSkills Family Learning would like to recruit a Family Learning Development Officer to deliver high quality training programmes to parents, carers, children and young people.
You must have knowledge and experience of designing and delivering adult learning programmes (accredited and non-accredited) in a range of settings including schools and children's centre's which meet with the requirements of local and national agendas for Family Learning. You must also have proven knowledge and experience of functional skills, initial and diagnostic assessment and accreditation along with an understanding of Ofsted, QCA and awarding body guidance. You must hold a relevant teaching qualification and have a minimum level 2 qualification in English and math'[s along with a full driving licence and access to a car or means to mobility support. There will also be an element of recruitment and development work associated with the role.
It is essential that you will be committed to anti-discriminatory practices and be knowledgeable around teaching, learning and assessment practices/strategies with a subject specialism in a family learning area - Family English, maths, science, ICT or wider family learning craft based subjects etc.
There will be a range of administrative skills associated with the post and you will be expected to act on your own initiative, have excellent communication skills, work in a number of outreach locations and work collaboratively with colleagues and external partners.
