This post can be considered as a secondment opportunity; candidates who wish to apply via secondment must first seek written approval from their line manager.
The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work across the boundaries of Tees, Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Trust. You will be a member of a friendly, highly successful, forward thinking and supportive multidisciplinary team who provide assessment, treatment and rehabilitation packages of care to male and female mentally disordered offenders who reside within a range of secure inpatient environments and in the community.
Working within this specialist area of work will provide, where possible, the opportunity to be involved in 1:1 Therapeutic Interventions and Group Work. There will be further opportunities to be involved in the service development of the team.
The person we are looking for will:
• Be able to demonstrate post qualifying experience
• Be enthusiastic and motivated towards this specialist area of work
• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Have experience of managing a complex caseload
In return we will offer you team support and regular supervision plus the opportunity to undertake a range of training.
A registered Social Work Qualification is essential for this post.
