If you work with children and are looking for an alternative role or you are thinking about working with children - and you have a spare room why not become a foster carer? We need people from all different backgrounds, to care for all kinds of local Northumberland children and young people aged from 0 to 18 years, providing short to long term stays. The basic fee is payable 52 weeks of the year (currently from around £457 to £2188 per calendar month) and the fostering allowance is payable in addition to the fee when you have a child in placement (allowances up to £934 per calendar month).
