Full and Part time Social Work Vacancies

Durham has an excellent record for delivering high quality Children’s Services for innovation and creativity. Durham’s Children’s Services hold the lead responsibility for ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children. Our key aim is to provide early help for children and families whilst protecting those that need it.

We are looking to appoint to a number of key roles within Children’s Service across the County, to contribute to making a real difference to the safety and well-being of children in Durham. We are looking for people who share our vision and ambition and have the ability to inspire the trust and confidence of professionals across a range of agencies.

We are looking for social workers with the drive and enthusiasm for working in multi-skilled integrated teams with a drive to achieve best outcomes for children and their families. We welcome applications from all qualified Social Workers and have full and part time opportunities in the following teams:

Child Protection
Famillies First
First Contact and Intervention Service
LAC -Looked After Children & Permanence

For all posts you must have 1 year post qualification experience, e.g. you must have completed your AYSE year.

For all posts you must have the HCPC registration and a Degree in social work or equivalent social work qualification i.e. CQSW, CSS or Dip SW. Please do not apply if you have not yet qualified.

The grade on appointment will be subject to newly appointed candidates demonstrating they meet DCC progression criteria.
