The post holders will be required to deliver a wide range of horticultural and grounds maintenance operations to a high standard with limited supervision, using a wide range of horticultural plant and machinery as required.
Working as part of a team you will be expected to undertake the maintenance of our public open spaces, cemeteries, play areas, schools, tree stock and woodlands as well as some external grounds contracts.
The duties will also involve other related works such as winter maintenance and flood response when required.
You should have experience of using plant and machinery associated with the role and the ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, colleagues and the general public. You should also have a knowledge of Health and Safety requirements in this service area.
Required Qualifications:
• Certificated/Competence on the use of vehicles/machinery
associated with the role
• Displaying a willingness to be trained in all aspects of Street Scene
Services
Due to the requirement to drive a County Council vehicle in these roles, appointment will be subject to the production of a valid driving licence for the required category of vehicle and the satisfactory completion of an in-house Driver Induction Assessment.
