An opportunity has arisen in the Gas Team for the role of Gas Engineer. You will carry out gas servicing and gas repairs on a day-to-day basis to a gas servicing programme. The successful candidate will also work to support the Gas Repairs Team.

About you:

It is essential you are extremely solution-focused, with strong customer service skills and a commitment to continued service improvements. A positive work ethic and a flexible, can-do attitude are important.

You must have experience of gas policies and procedures, as well as knowledge of a variety of gas appliances. You will also need a good working knowledge of health and safety (regulations and codes of practice for the working environment) to ensure that you and others are working within a safe environment.

Flexibility and willingness to carry out gas activities when required across other areas of the business is essential, as is the need to hold a current (full) driving licence in order to drive company vehicles, or have the ability to meet the travel requirements of the post.

You must have a NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) recognised City and Guilds craft certificate (Gas) or:

• Level 3 (NVQ) in Domestic Natural Gas Installation and Maintenance (ACS aligned)
• Level 3 Diploma in Gas Utilisation (Matters of Gas Safety Aligned)
• Level 3 (NVQ) Diploma in Domestic Plumbing and Heating (Gas Fired Water and Central Heating Appliances)

You will hold a current ACS accreditation in CCN1 and elements including CENWAT & CPA1.
You must also hold, or be prepared to undertake, training to attain CKR1, HTR1, MET1, CMDDA1.
