An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Corporate Finance Team as we are looking to recruit two qualified accountants, preferably CIPFA.
One post (ref. 101100) is based on the Corporate & Schools Team providing the full range of financial services to the Schools including the Schools Funding Formula, High Needs funding and Early Years – Funding and the Education element of the Children’s & Joint Commissioning Services Department. You will have significant experience of budget preparation, budgetary control, final accounts and excellent IT skills. Experience of either Education or Schools would be desirable, although not as essential as your ability to apply your financial skills and experience in a public sector organisation. You will be specifically responsible for managing and developing a small team of staff.
The other post (ref. 101102) is a new post of Housing Group Accountant which will support the financial management of the recently reopened HRA. This post will be responsible for all aspects of financial and management accounting of the HRA and reporting to senior management and members. This post will play a pivotal role in influencing the future direction and expansion of housing development, including consideration of alternative vehicles of delivery.
