Join us as a Business Growth Adviser within the North East Growth Hub

The North East Combined Authority (North East CA) is committed to driving economic growth and supporting businesses across our region.  The North East Growth Hub is a central resource for businesses seeking advice, funding, and support to thrive. We are looking for a passionate and proactive Business Growth Adviser to join our team and help businesses access the right services at the right time.
As a Business Growth Adviser, you will work directly with businesses to understand their needs and connect them with the most relevant support, from funding opportunities and specialist guidance to local networks and programmes. Collaborating closely with partners and stakeholders, you’ll ensure businesses receive high-quality, tailored support that helps them grow and thrive.

You will act as a trusted adviser to local businesses, identifying challenges and opportunities and guiding them towards the right solutions. You’ll build strong, productive relationships with businesses, partners, and wider stakeholders while maintaining up-to-date knowledge of regional and national support initiatives. Through events, networking, and proactive outreach, you’ll promote the North East Growth Hub services and raise awareness of the support available through our partner network. You’ll also track and report engagement and outcomes, demonstrating impact and contributing to economic growth across the region.

We’re looking for a business-savvy professional with a strong understanding of SME challenges and opportunities. You’ll be an excellent communicator with outstanding interpersonal skills, able to build trust and manage multiple priorities effectively. Proactive and organised, you’ll bring experience in business support or economic development (desirable) and a passion for helping businesses grow and succeed.

We offer a dynamic, collaborative environment where you can make a real impact on the North East business community. You’ll have access to professional development and career progression opportunities while helping shape the future of business growth in the region. If you have the skills and qualities to succeed in this role and are committed to driving innovation and success, we look forward to hearing from you.

We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds and particularly encourage candidates who are underrepresented in senior roles, including women, disabled people, LGBTQ+ people and those from Black, Asian and minority ethnic communities.
