This is an exciting opportunity for a HR professional with a generalist HR background to join an established and supportive Business Team to deliver a quality HR support service. The successful candidate will:

• be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of HR and have experience within a fast paced environment
• hold or be working towards the CIPD Certificate in Personnel Practice or equivalent
• have a proven record of advising managers and an understanding of HR best practice and employment law, preferably gained within local government and/or Schools
• actively support and develop the service offered by the HR Business Teams to Departments and Schools.
• have well developed communication and negotiating skills that are crucial when engaging with managers and trade unions.
