The Service
The role of the Handyperson service is to support and assist elderly and disabled service users and families of disabled children to live safely and independently by installing minor adaptations, carrying out minor repairs and maintenance within their homes, across Northumberland. The Handyperson would carry out home safety checks, offer practical advice and support and signpost to other services where necessary.

The role
The handyperson works agile, receiving their day’s work on a mobile device. They must have the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with our client group and be able to provide accurate information when completing tasks. An ability to respond calmly in situations where they may feel under pressure is beneficial.

Essential requirements:
? Handyperson must have a driving license and the role will entail driving for long periods of time
? The handyperson must be able to carry out basic household repairs to a high standard,
? Have experience of using power tools
? The handyperson must have the ability to use basic computer software.
