3 days per week (7.4 hour day)

To be eligible for this position you must be a recent graduate or an individual with some relevant experience of volunteering/working within the cultural sector.

Tyne and Wear Archives and Museums seek to appoint an enthusiastic individual to work with the Art Galleries team to contribute to the delivery of the exhibition programme, and to the care and use of TWAM’s Art collections. You will be part of the Art Galleries team and be expected to contribute to the work of all sections within this team.

This is an exciting opportunity to begin a career in the cultural sector. We want to share our skills and experience and build a more diverse workforce by giving a new graduate, or an individual with some experience of working in a museum or cultural or heritage venue the opportunity to begin a career in museums and galleries. As an intern, you will be learning on the job with a supervisor to support you. You will learn new skills and gain valuable experience of working in an art gallery environment.
