HEAD TEACHER
L14 – L20

Required for September 2018

Group 2, NOR: 207 (+13 FTE Nursery)

St Joseph’s RC Primary School is a very friendly, inclusive School and Nursery that provides a caring Christ-centred learning environment. Our recent Ofsted Inspection (Oct 2017) judged that we continue to be a good school saying “You are passionate in your determination to provide the very best learning experiences for all pupils”. Our Section 48 Inspection (February 2018) graded us outstanding in all aspects.

Following the retirement of our well respected Head Teacher we are looking for an enthusiastic and innovative school leader who has the drive and strategic vision to build upon the success of our school. The successful candidate must have high expectations of all our pupils, driving forward academic excellence and nurturing those special gifts which make each child unique. You will develop strong relationships with the Parish and the wider school community, while at the same time further strengthen the involvement of parents and carers as we move to the next stage of our development. Applicants must be a practising Catholic.

What we can offer:

• A happy school with confident, achieving, well behaved pupils who feel safe within their school environment and are proud of their school;
• Dedicated staff, keen to build on our high standards, who “are a strong and cohesive team” (Ofsted);
• A commitment to CPD for all staff;
• Supportive parents who are actively involved in school;
• A strong partnership with Parish, parents, local community, Diocese and Local Authority;
• A supportive and ambitious Governing Board committed to excellence and a bright future.

Informal visits to the school are warmly welcomed and may be arranged by contacting the school on (0191) 536 4311.
