The governors are seeking to appoint a committed and focused leader who has a clear vision to inspire along with the energy, enthusiasm and ability to drive the school and its children from good to outstanding.

Highcliffe Primary School is part of the East Cleveland Co-operative Learning Trust (ECCLT) and is located in Guisborough, it is currently rated as good by Ofsted and is looking to move forward in its next stage of development. The school operates in the borough of Redcar and Cleveland, which is the fourth highest attaining borough at Key Stage 2 in the country.

We are looking for a Head Teacher who has:

• A passionate commitment to drive the learning and excellence for all our children
• A clear strategic vision based on strong educational values
• The ability to lead teams and work successfully in partnership with all staff, governors, other agencies/organisations, parents and the wider community
• Excellent communication, management and interpersonal skills
• The ability to foster positive relationships and a caring and inclusive ethos within the school
• The ability to move the school forward, building on current success and ensuring a culture of challenge and high expectations through a rich and diverse curriculum
• A commitment to continue to develop a wide range of extra-curricular opportunities
• Thorough knowledge of developments in school improvement, inclusion, wellbeing and budgets
• The ability to develop, inspire and motivate the staff and children whilst making them feel valued and supported.
• Someone who can build on the success of our Nurture Group and Thrive initiatives to create conditions at school that promotes healthy, happy children who are keen to learn.
