Further Information
An exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint a Head of Service for Hartlepool and Stockton’s Multi- agency Children’s Hub and Contextual Safeguarding Hub. The Children’s Hub is an integrated single point of access across North Tees (Hartlepool and Stockton Borough Councils) providing multi-agency triage and assessment of enquiries about children.

The multi-agency Children’s Hub is a very effective partnership which shares information, assesses risk and makes decisions to improve outcomes for vulnerable children and their families with the aim of providing the right support at the right time. As Head of Service you will play a key role in developing and leading our multi-agency Contextual Safeguarding Hub, which will provide a systemic, coordinated, proactive and contextual approach to protecting children and young people and keeping them safe from exploitation through prevention, safeguarding and prosecution.

The wellbeing of children and young people is a high priority for the Council, we are passionate about providing excellent services and pride ourselves on the quality of service we offer. Our services for children and their families have been consistently judged as Good by Ofsted, this is the minimum standard we expect to maintain and strive for excellence. We offer an excellent working environment valuing supervision, training and opportunities for professional development

The successful candidate will be part of an enthusiastic, hard working and motivated management team committed to delivering high quality services to children. We are looking for someone with management experience in children’s social care and an extensive knowledge of the arrangements for safeguarding children and proven ability to develop and maintain excellent partnerships. You will need to be self motivated and have excellent communication skills both oral and written.
