Due to the retirement of the current Head Teacher, the Governors of this popular, successful community based school are seeking to appoint an exceptional and inspirational leader to be our new Head Teacher.
At our most recent inspection in December 2016, we were judged to be Good with many positive features. We are looking for someone with the drive, energy and ambition to move the school forward and build on our many successes. As a founding member of the Outer West Learning Trust our school works closely with eight other local primary schools and with external partners to provide the best possible outcomes for our children.
We are looking for a Head Teacher who:
• will develop a clear set of aims for the future, providing stability and direction
• has an inspirational and inclusive leadership style which will empower and motivate others to reach their full potential
• has the energy, enthusiasm and dedication to lead and inspire our dedicated teachers and support staff in order to maintain and develop the standards achieved by all our pupils
• has a commitment to the children and will establish a knowledge of each child individually to ensure that each child reaches his/her full potential
• has high expectations of all pupils in terms of behaviour, attitudes and achievement
• is able to establish an understanding of the local area and the complex needs of the children and is able to build up a good relationship with our parents
• has the flexibility and skills to face challenges as they arise
• is committed to broadening the experience and aspirations of each child and encourage the children to enjoy their time in school
• understands the importance of being part of the local community and the Outer West Learning Trust and is committed to continuing our involvement in this area by being very approachable and having excellent communication skills.
We can offer you the opportunity to:
• lead our friendly, experienced and hard-working team of staff
• support our dedicated team of staff and Governors and work with them in implementing a vision of excellence
• work in a very positive and caring school ethos
• work in partnership with other Head Teachers and members of our Trust community and the Local Authority as well as with parents and the local community
• develop further your professional skills
• above all, make a significant and lasting difference to the lives of pupils in Lemington.
Lemington Riverside Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The appointment of the successful applicant will depend upon receipt of an Enhanced Certificate of Disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service and a range of other recruitment checks.
