A primary school, located in North Tyneside, has asked First Class Supply to appoint a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to work on a part time basis, five afternoons per week. The role will commence in January 2018 and will be for the Spring term.
This is a good school where pupils have positive attitudes to learning and they relish opportunities to gain first-hand experience through educational visits and visitors into school. Morale in this school is high and staff work effectively as a team.
To apply for this role you must:
- have the confidence to plan for, work with and assess the progress of children – under the direction of the class teacher
- be able to work independently with the class in addition to 1-1 and small group work
- be pro-active, enthusiastic, energetic and reliable
- be flexible to work at short notice as and when the need arises
- have recent experience in a HLTA role, which has given you an up to date knowledge of the UK National Curriculum
- hold a relevant child care or education qualification at Level 4 or above.
