A ‘good’ partner school of First Class Supply is looking to appoint a Higher Level Teaching Assistant for PPA cover. The position is for five afternoon’s per week to start after February half term until the end of the Summer term.
The staff here work relentlessly to make sure their lessons are fun and engaging for the children and parents are highly appreciative of all that the school offers. The school is relatively small and as a result it is a very caring and nurturing environment for the children. Class sizes are small and the teaching is adapted so that all children achieve. The school also believe in getting children ready for the real world, therefore topics and learning reflect this.
To apply for this role you must:
- have the experience and confidence to plan for, work with and assess the progress of children –under the direction of the class teacher
- be able to work independently with the class in addition to 1-1 and small group work
- be pro-active, enthusiastic, energetic and reliable
- be flexible to work at short notice as and when the need arises
- have recent experience in a HLTA role, which has given you an up to date knowledge of the UK National Curriculum
- hold a relevant child care or education qualification at Level 4 or above.
