Durham County Council has approx. 3,800 km of highway and the management of the Council’s most valuable tangible asset is a demanding role. We are looking for a person with the right knowledge, skills and experience to lead a team in delivering this essential service.

The post holder will be accountable to the Strategic Highways Manager and will be responsible for the direction, control and financial management of the staff and workload of the Highway Asset team. The post holder will work alongside other Strategic Highways business managers comprising Street Lighting, Structures, Flood and Coastal Protection, Road Safety and the Traffic and Streetworks teams.

Required Qualifications: Relevant degree or equivalent qualifications
Relevant professional qualification
