Housing and Wellbeing Co-ordinator
Fixed term for 12 months

Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday-Friday

The Role:
You will provide appropriate advice and assistance to customers when offering a generic housing management service including housing options, tenancy and estate management and income recovery roles.

You will need the ability to promote the well-being of customers through early interventions and ensuring effective partnership working.

You will deliver excellent services to Your Homes Newcastle’s customers to meet performance targets, to assist in developing systems and processes that improve service delivery and efficiency and to act responsibly in the safeguarding of vulnerable individuals, groups and communities and enhancing community safety.
Includes the management and support of a team in providing services across a wide range of customers including, older people living in Sheltered and Extra Care schemes and people with learning disabilities living in our ‘Concierge+’ schemes.

The ability to operate within the parameters of statutory framework, legislation and associated YHN policies and procedures for all customers is also a vital role of the job.

The Person:
• Enthusiastic and able to provide housing and wellbeing services to vulnerable groups and individuals.
• A background in working with vulnerable people would be advantageous.
• Able to work independently in, at times, a physically demanding role.
• Flexible and positive disposition.
• Able to work in partnership with the nominated care and support providers in order to ensure the provision of a comprehensive service to tenants.
• Passionate about people and developing a team to deliver excellent customer service.
• Excellent communication skills both written and orally and good IT skills.
• Excited by change and able to instil this within the team.
• Able to influence a wide range of stakeholders.
• Driven to achieve financial results especially rent collection targets.
