Hambleton District Council is looking for a talented and motivated person to join the ICT team focusing on web solutions and other development assignments. You will work on a range of exciting digital projects that will transform online service delivery for our customers, and improve the Council’s internal business processes and working practices.

Preference will be given to people with an ICT or science degree, but also welcome candidates from another subject with programming skills. Shortlisted candidates will be required to take a practical test as part of the interview.

You should be able to demonstrate strong logical thinking. You should ideally have some exposure to HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, C#/Visual Basic, XML / Web Services, PHP, Powershell or .NET.

You will be expected to have or pass an ITIL foundation exam, become competent to analyze customer requirement, and use the corporate Firmstep webform system to design and deliver digital solutions.

The successful candidate will require GCSX access and therefore will need to complete a Basic Disclosure check. This will be reimbursed on appointment
