The annual salary for the post is £34,447, a market supplement will be considered depending on skills and experience.
Hambleton District Council has a new and exciting opportunity for an ICT Technical Team Leader to join our small and friendly team to improve and strengthen the Council’s ICT infrastructure, as well as harness technological advances.
As the ICT Technical Team Leader, you will be able to design, implement, support and maintain the Council’s ICT infrastructure. By leading 4 technical analysts, you will support ICT Digital Strategy that encourages channel shift and makes services more accessible to residents through web technology. You will also carry out annual PSN compliance check and other work which safeguard the security and resilience of systems and data.
You will have a solid background of 3rd line technical expertise in ICT infrastructure such as SAN, Virtual Platform, Microsoft Products, Firewall, Networking etc, you should ideally have working knowledge of Backup Strategies, Disaster Recovery Procedures and ITIL Service Management.
You will be a strong ‘hands on’ team leader who is able to drive a project or service improvement initiative from conception through to completion. This role provides an ideal opportunity for technically competent ICT professionals seeking their next career step, it is also perfect for those who are in a similar position, attracted by the breadth of the role, want to broaden their expertise.

The successful candidate will require GCSX access and therefore will need to complete a Basic Disclosure check. This will be reimbursed on appointment
