IT User Support Technician, Full-time, Permanent Business Support Scale 3/4 Points 14-19, £16,722 - £20,093
The Information Services Directorate at Middlesbrough College are looking to recruit an IT User Support Technician.
The successful candidate will be involved in delivering the first line of support for all Desktop and associated IT equipment, including hardware, software and other resources, including proactive servicing, troubleshooting and maintenance.
Candidates should possess the skills to undertake a wide range of IT support and maintenance tasks including:
First line support for the interactive whiteboard and interactive TV teaching areas provision, including proactive servicing, troubleshooting and maintenance.
Issuing, installing and managing portable IT related equipment such as Laptops, Tablets and Projectors where required.
Installing new IT systems and software together with the upgrading of any existing systems.
Supporting the deployment of hardware and software resources under the direction or supervision of User and Service Support Managers and also monitor and advise managers on levels of stocks and spares.
Carrying out asset management and security marking of new equipment, and the regular inventory checking of existing IT assets and consumables.
Assisting staff in any off site operation which requires IT support such as Schools Liaison/Marketing events/Senior Management meetings.
