We currently have an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to be part of the Construction directorate at Middlesbrough College. We are looking for someone to be responsible for training, demonstrating to and supporting students on competence based/skills based learning programmes devised with Carpentry & Joinery.
This September the directorate has recruited 500+ full time students and so there are fantastic opportunities for development and progression as part of the team. We are a vibrant and exciting directorate with a fantastic team of staff who work together as a successful team. In the last year our new resources have further enhanced the teaching facilities and links to businesses have assisted us in getting more students into apprenticeships.
The successful candidate will need to hold a Level 3 vocational qualification in Carpentry and Joinery. Assessor and/or verifier awards are desirable. We will also expect the candidate to be an experienced Carpenter / Joiner with Current and relevant industrial experience and/or have been a time served apprentice in Carpentry / Joinery (preferably site and/or bench).
The role is to commence as soon as possible (subject to notice periods and pre-employment checks).
