Would you like to play an important role in supporting delivery of an ambitious Investment Programme which will contribute to the lives of local people, with a clear priority to help the communities we serve to fulfil their true potential?

If you are a team player with an eye for detail and great relationship management skills this exciting opportunity could be just what you’re looking for.

The North of Tyne Combined Authority is responsible for managing and allocating an Investment Fund worth £600m over the next 30 years, across a range of economic development projects. This is an exciting time as we work to deliver our commitments to date and support the development of future investments. We are looking for an exceptional individual to assist us in the delivery of this activity, playing an instrumental role as part of the Programme Management Office.

We need a pro-active self-starter, preferably with a background in economic development and project management to ensure we deliver exactly what our stakeholders and government need. You’ll have excellent communication skills and an ability to work at pace, collaboratively, within a complex environment with multiple stakeholders. A real ‘can-do’ attitude is a must have, and experience in delivering grant funded projects and/or programmes will prove advantageous.

The North of Tyne Combined Authority is a ground-breaking organisation, allowing the transfer of new powers and money from the Government to the North of Tyne area. We are making an ambitious contribution to the lives of local people, with a clear priority to help the communities we serve to fulfil their true potential. https://www.northoftyne-ca.gov.uk/news/our-corporate-plan/

If you would like to be part of a team that is critical to the growth of the region and you are passionate about delivering a high quality service as we translate our funding decisions into tangible outcomes, then we really want to hear from you.

At NTCA, we don’t just accept difference, we celebrate it, we support it, and we thrive on it for the benefit of our team, our mission, and our residents. NTCA is proud to embrace diversity and equal opportunity in a serious way. We are committed to building a team that represents a variety of backgrounds, perspectives, and skills. The more inclusive we are, the better our work will be.

If you’re looking for a flexible approach to work, we will be operating on a hybrid model, so we would be open to discussing this with you. However, if you are looking to relocate here, then that’s great too. By coming to work in the North of Tyne, you can enjoy a fulfilling job as well as a great quality of life, with some of the UK’s most beautiful countryside and beaches on your doorstep. Our flexible approach allows employees to have a great work-life-balance, with your wellbeing at its heart.

To arrange an informal discussion please contact David Braithwaite-Wilson, Senior Claims and Compliance Manager on 07866 174796 or David.braithwaite.wilson@northoftyne-ca.gov.uk
