KS2 Phase Leader: M1 – U3 + TLR2a (from September 2019)
The Executive Head Teacher and Trust Board of Oak Learning Trust seek to recruit an outstanding, inspirational Phase Leader to lead and develop Key Stage 2 at George Washington Primary School; this is a class based role. This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to develop their own leadership and play a significant part in developing the school and the wider trust.

You will be:
• An excellent teacher able to communicate your passion for learning
• Keen to develop into a high quality, effective leader who inspires others and has a proven track record of school improvement and raising standards
• Knowledgeable about the National Curriculum and have the ability to use this to raise standards
• Confident and effective in the use of assessment to promote and accelerate pupil progress
• Friendly, flexible, outgoing and a good team player
• Able to create a stimulating learning environment that supports and celebrates learning
• Creative, energetic, enthusiastic and able to reflect effectively on your own practice
• An excellent communicator able to work successfully with a wide range of stakeholders and partners
• Clear about your own educational vision and ambitious to achieve this
• Able to enliven the curriculum through innovative ideas and a range of pedagogical approaches

• Has high expectations of themselves and the children and staff they lead
• Is able to use the curriculum to ensure pupil and staff engagement
• Has outstanding and positive approaches to behaviour management creating a positive learning environment in which children can succeed
• Uses high quality assessment to plan school development and accelerate pupil progress across the phase
• Is able to contribute to wider school life
