A primary school in south Northumberland is working with First Class Supply to appoint a Learning Support Assistant to carry out Key Stage 2 interventions and to work within the out of school club. The role is to commence in September 2018 for the duration of the academic year.

The school is a harmonious learning community where every child feels valued and respected and their learning flourishes. It is a small one form entry school with modern facilities and extensive outdoor learning areas. The determination and drive of senior leaders has been very successful in improving pupils’ achievement across the school and behaviour is outstanding.

Successful applicants will:
  • have experience of working with small groups of children on planned activities and providing feedback on progress to teachers
  • be experienced at working with pre-school children
  • be pro-active, enthusiastic, energetic and reliable
  • have the ability to motivate and engage children
  • be able to work independently using your initiative
  • have a minimum of 6 months recent experience within a UK setting
  • hold a full and relevant level 3 or equivalent qualification in a relevant child care discipline.
