Key Stage 2 Teacher TLR Responsibility: Key Stage 2 English Status: permanent Required: 1st September 2017 Salary: £24,243 – £38,250 (MPS2 - UPS3) English TLR Payment: TL2.2 £2,258 Hours: full time Reporting to: Head Teacher/Executive Head Teacher Academy: Pennyman Primary Academy Due to the promotion of an outstanding teacher and leader, Pennyman Primary Academy is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Key Stage 2 Teacher to join the academy as part of Tees Valley Education Trust. This teaching position will be working within Key Stage 2. The successful candidate will also take lead responsibility for English across Key Stage 2. As a Teacher within the Trust, you will teach children within the primary age range according to their educational needs, planning and preparing classes and lessons, assessing, recording and reporting on the development, progress and attainment of pupils assigned to you. You will contribute and participate in the team working ethos of the academy and maintain the core values of the academy, both inside and outside of the classroom including: - Planning and delivering the teaching programme for all pupils within the class in relation to the National Curriculum - Providing clear structures for lessons and for sequences of lessons, which maintain pace, motivation and challenge. - Setting tasks which challenge pupils and ensure high levels of interest. - Setting clear targets, building on prior attainment. - Setting appropriate and demanding expectations. - Making effective use of assessment information on pupil’s attainment and progress. - Maintaining good order and discipline in accordance with the academy’s procedures. As Teacher, you will also be required to contribute to the whole academy’s planning activities and operate at all times within the academy stated policies and practices. We are looking for people who have Qualified Teacher Status as well as a Degree or relevant qualification and experience. The successful candidate must have a secure understanding of Assessment for Learning (AfL) as well as the current National frameworks and developments. It is also desirable that the successful candidate has taught in upper Key Stage 2, and has experience of working towards, and delivery Year 6 national tests.
