An opportunity has arisen for a passionate professional to teach on our Foundation Learning Programme specifically working with young people with a wide and varied range of learning difficulties and learning disabilities.
We are seeking to further strengthen our team with a highly creative and enthusiastic specialist with the skills required to ensure our learners are ready with the right skills knowledge and aptitudes to progress in education, the community and the workplace.
The successful candidate will be an outstanding practitioner, with relevant SEND qualifications and experience, have high expectations and the ability to devise and use a range of strategies and approaches to enthuse and inspire learners to achieve the best possible outcomes across a range of areas.
This post offers the successful candidate the opportunity to work with a well-established and successful team at the Bede Campus, within our specialist area, supporting outstanding achievement across the provision.
Applicants will have SEND experience and have a proven track record in education. Applicants must be willing to achieve a teaching qualification within an agreed timescale.
Applicants should be able to demonstrate relevant experience in their personal statement, giving practical examples of how they fulfil the person specification. Applicants will also be expected to bring along examples of teaching strategies and resources they have successfully used to the interview and be able to discuss them at length. Applicants will be expected to deliver a 20 minute micro teach on the dangers of an aspect of social media to students who a have a range of social and communication difficulties.
