The Faculty of Sport, Health & Wellbeing is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic lecturer of Sport to join our team. We are looking for an individual who is supportive, creative and innovative with excellent interpersonal skills, a sound understanding of current teaching and learning strategies and the ability to support the growth and diversification of Sport and Exercise provision at the college.

You should have achieved a degree or equivalent in Sport and hold a teaching qualification. You will also have experience of delivering professional and technical qualifications, in particular BTEC 3 in Sport and/or Sport and Exercise Sciences. You should be able to demonstrate experience of outstanding teaching, learning, assessment and quality assurance. Previous experience in the sport, exercise and health industry and/or additional sport and exercise related qualifications would be advantageous.

As a Sport lecturer, you will be based in our impressive Sports Academy, accessing top class facilities such as our sports hall, fitness suite, strength and conditioning room, treatment room, sports science laboratory and fully equipped teaching classrooms – kitted out with the latest digital and wireless technology.

Applicants should be able to demonstrate, in their personal statement, practical examples of how they fulfil the person specification.
