Your opportunity to join our ‘Outstanding’ Company and make a difference!
We are proud that Together for Children has been rated as ‘outstanding’ in a judgement by Ofsted in 2021 in recognition of the stability of our very well supported and talented workforce who deliver an unstinting commitment to improving children’s outcomes. Join us and help us in continuing our outstanding journey!
Together for Children delivers children’s services on behalf of Sunderland City Council and works to develop modern and responsive services that make a difference for children and families in Sunderland.
Our Children’s Services Legal Team are looking for a paralegal or legal assistant to be part of a growing team in Sunderland.
As part of our Team of Legal Assistants, you will play a key role in delivering professional support to our solicitors working within the child care practice arena. To be successful you will need to have experience in being able to draft a variety of documents as well as taking instructions, responding to queries and being the first point of contact on the cases you will support. In addition, you will be able to demonstrate effective time management and organisation skills, resilience, tenacity and thrive in a fast paced environment. The role will be wide-ranging, challenging and complex with no day being the same as the last.
If you are up for this challenge, we can offer excellent career prospects in a supportive working environment and are particularly interested in candidates who are ambitious and who want to support the Team to deliver a high quality service.
The role of Legal Assistant can be a stepping stone towards even greater things like qualifying as a solicitor through the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE). We are looking for people who want to learn and progress and who could dependent upon aspiration and progress in the role, become our Solicitors of the future.
