Opportunities have arisen for various Leisure Assistants to support the Culture, Sport & Tourism team in providing a high quality service to customers that is safe, efficient and enjoyable by users.

The successful candidates must possess relevant experience within a customer focused environment and/or leisure centre and/or Gym.

Required qualifications: National Pool Lifeguard qualification (if facility has a Swimming Pool) and/or Level 2 gym instructor or equivalent in an appropriate area as well as a First Aid Certificate or ability to work towards the qualification within an agreed time scale

PLEASE NOTE : as part of the interview process all candidates will be expected to successfully complete the Durham County Council Lifeguard Interview Pool Test designed to assess the practical capabilities of the lifeguard.

The successful applicant for this post will be required to apply for a Disclosure & Barring Service Enhanced Disclosure.
