A partner school of First Class Supply based in South Tyneside, would like to appoint a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to start after February half term. The position is on a full time basis within a Year 2 class. It is imperative that you have experience of working towards SATs.
The school is a smaller than average sized primary with just over 200 pupils aged 3-11. Ofsted results have been consistently Good over a number of years. The drive and ambition of the Headteacher has been recognised, and with support of the senior leaders rapid improvements to pupils' attainment and progress, their behaviour and engagement in the life of the school and in teaching and learning have been made. Staff are committed to improving the life chances of every individual child in the school and have very high expectations with well-targeted support for all pupils in place.
To apply for this role you must:
- be able to use your initiative to work independently within classes, in addition to 1-1 and small group work
- be pro-active, enthusiastic, energetic and reliable
- be flexible to work at short notice as and when the need arises
- have recently qualified or have experience in a teaching assistant role, which has given you an up to date knowledge of the UK National Curriculum
- hold a relevant child care or education qualification at Level 2 or above.
