Contractual Status: Fixed term until 31st August 2019 in the first instance.

We are seeking to appoint a behaviour support assistant who will support a pupil with their academic, personal and social development. You will be supporting a pupil with Social and Emotional difficulties both within their classroom environment and outside of it.

The successful applicant must:

• Have experience working in a similar environment or other experience of working with young people whom may present challenging behaviours.
• Be resilient and patient, compassionate and understanding.
• Have an ability to be proactive, creative and empathetic.
• Be able to follow and make contributions to behaviour SEN support plans.
• Adhere to the school's policies and practices.
• Ideally be Team Teach trained (not essential)

The successful applicants must be prepared to:

• Work in small class groups or with individual students.
• Adapt learning to increase interaction.
• Provide emotional support if required.
• Encourage appropriate social interactions.
• Maintain professional standards at all times.
• Supervise children during break-times and lunch-times.
