Teaching Assistant 18.25 hours per week,+ 5 teacher training days
Fixed term contract - 1st November 2020 - 31st August 2021. Salary Band 2, approximately £12,054.00 per annum.
To support and develop the school's library in consultation with the Headteacher, governors and staff, and in conjunction with the overall School Development Plan.
Applications are invited for the above post to start in November 2020. We are looking to appoint a high quality, experienced and committed library and teaching assistant to work 1 : 1 with named students, small groups and join our welcoming and supportive team of staff.
Effective support of students with special educational needs and/or disabilities is a key priority at Chantry Middle in order to help all students achieve their full potential.
With a track record of supporting students to achieve their targets and knowledge of strategies used, we are committed to supporting you in your ongoing professional development. You should have excellent communication skills, commitment to working in a team and very good numeracy and literacy skills, to at least GCSE Grade C standard or equivalent. We are looking for a passionate reader, who is familiar with children’s literature and would be able to support the English department in developing a reading strategy across the school.
