We are seeking an experienced counsellor to join the Youth Offending and Targeted Support service as a Life Coach, working with young people and their families to help them take control of their situations and achieve goals.
You will have a professional qualification in counselling and have membership of a recognised national body. You will display excellent listening and questioning skills and have a track record of motivating others to achieve change.
Assessment, planning and case work of young people and families using a range of coaching, counselling, mediation and restorative techniques are critical to the delivery of effective targeted support services to improve outcomes for young people and families. You will have a sound working knowledge of children’s legislation, safeguarding and multi-agency working and will be comfortable in both statutory and non-statutory contexts.
You will be expected to be a team player and be able to work across agency boundaries. As part of an evolving Early Help service, you will be flexible and adaptable to organisational change. This is an excellent opportunity to make a difference to young people and their families.
