This post is an innovative and exciting opportunity to develop the links between schools, the Education & Skills Service and the new Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) in Northumberland. The successful applicant to this newly created post will act as the key education link in the MASH, ensuring information pertaining to child protection referrals is provided in a timely and effective way and facilitating a speedy response when information is required. The post holder will work with schools and other services ensuring safeguarding standards are met and a key role will be the delivery of training to professionals.
You will hold a relevant professional qualification in education, health, social work or other related field equivalent to Level 5 with up-to-date knowledge and understanding of the education system and relevant legislation relating to safeguarding and child protection in education settings.
You will have a minimum 2 years’ experience of working with education settings, where safeguarding was a significant part of the position held and experience of implementing Child Protection and Safeguarding Policies and procedures, including statutory guidance Keeping Children Safe in Education and Working Together to Safeguard Children.
