We are looking to employ a general maintenance and pool plant technician to work at Highlight Active Wellbeing Hub.
Active Hartlepool currently operates Mill House Leisure Centre, Headland Sports Centre, Brierton Sports Centre and Summerhill Country Park. With our new active wellbeing hub, Highlight, set to open in early 2026. It is an exciting time to be joining the Active Hartlepool team!
What is the job?
The general maintenance and pool plant technician will operate and maintain the swimming pool dosing and control systems to ensure Highlight Active Wellbeing Hub has safe swimming conditions at all times.
You'll also be responsible for carrying out general repairs to pool plant and general maintenance within Active and Creative Hartlepool facilities.

What do I need?
To be a success in the role we require the following from you:
- Experience of working with members of the general public
- A thorough understanding of Health and Safety Regulations
- Ability to devise and supervise a programme of maintenance
- Ability to respond positively to difficult situations
- Enthusiastic individual who is prepared to go the extra mile to achieve successful outcomes
- CIMSPA approved Level 3 pool plant operators certificate
- Qualified electrician, plumber or equivalent
