MARINE PARKS OFFICER
(TOWN HALL, SOUTH SHIELDS
£21,074 pa
Fixed Term Contract until December 2022
This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in the restoration of North Marine Park in South Shields, supported by National Lottery players through Heritage Lottery Fund. Key responsibilities will be to deliver the Heritage Activity Plan, work in partnership with The Friends of the Park and engage the local community in events and activities to increase usage, interest and community engagement in the life of the Park.
You should have a depth of experience in parks and green spaces and be able to clearly demonstrate skills in working with a wide range of stakeholders, specifically friends groups, to achieve shared goals. You should have a good understanding of the requirements of keeping a park well maintained, delivering the Activity Plan and in working with partners to achieve this. You should be a good communicator, verbally and in writing, and understand the heritage value of parks.
