A temporary vacancy has arisen within Visit County Durham for a Marketing and Information manager to cover maternity leave until approximately 30 June 2018 or the day before the return of the substantive post holder.
The post holder will report directly to the Managing Director of Visit County Durham and take responsibility for managing the various areas of work currently undertaken by the Marketing and Information manager, you will be responsible for the timely and effective delivery of Visit County Durham’s marketing plan over a 12 month period whilst supporting on the planning process for 2018-2019. A self-starter, you can hit the ground running, bringing gravitas and a wealth of marketing experience to the table to positively take direction, direct teams and manage all areas of destination / place marketing and information.
Due to the temporary nature of the role it is essential that the candidate has an understanding of destination marketing and the visitor economy.
Candidates should be educated to degree level or be able to demonstrate substantial relevant experience.
