We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Projects Officer to join the North East & Yorkshire Net Zero Hub team. This role will work collaboratively within the Hub to coordinate net zero programme activity across the region. The role will support the development, delivery and administration of a broad programme of work focussed on accelerating activity linked to energy efficiency, generation, storage, and addressing fuel poverty.

The successful candidate will be a strong collaborator and excellent communicator, as well as being highly organised and able to prioritise their own workload. They will be solution driven and able to effectively respond to challenges in a calm and objective manner.

If you have the passion to make a lasting impact on the North East and Yorkshire then we would like to hear from you. The most important quality that we are looking for is a drive and commitment to be the best that you can be.

Funded by the Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS), the Hub is one of five across the country, all focusing on helping the UK reach Net-Zero carbon emissions by 2050.

Our Hub combines six Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEPs) in the region, bringing local authorities, businesses, organisations and communities together to help us achieve our goals.

A Net Zero Hub Manager and small core team are based in Tees Valley Combined Authority with a Hub funded Energy Project Manager based in each of our six LEPs. The LEPs are driving the transition to a zero carbon economy with ambitious energy strategy and innovative project delivery.
