Are you an experienced network and telecommunications professional with a passion for leading technical teams and delivering secure, resilient, and high-performing connectivity services?
 
We are seeking a Network Services Team Leader to lead the Council's Network Services function, providing operational leadership across enterprise networking, telecommunications, unified communications, network security, connectivity services, and supporting infrastructure.
 
Reporting to the IT Infrastructure Services Manager, you will lead a team of Network Engineers and Technicians, ensuring the reliable delivery, support, maintenance, and continual improvement of critical network and communications services across the Council.
 
You will play a key role in delivering the Council's IT Strategy, leading the development and enhancement of network infrastructure, supporting business continuity and disaster recovery capabilities, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring network services remain secure, resilient, and aligned to organisational needs.
 
What we're looking for
Significant experience leading and managing teams supporting complex network infrastructure and telecommunications services within a large and complex organisation.
Strong leadership, stakeholder management, supplier management, and people development skills.
Experience managing enterprise network infrastructure, telecommunications services, network security technologies, and associated support contracts.
Knowledge of business continuity, disaster recovery, information governance, and cyber security best practices.
Experience of service delivery, performance management, asset lifecycle management, and infrastructure change management.
Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences and support digital transformation initiatives.
Understanding of modern networking technologies, telecommunications platforms, and emerging infrastructure trends.
