1 x CLLD Support Officer (16 hours) Northern Area

Community Led Local Development (CLLD) is a new way of delivering local development using structural funds from Europe. It supports economic, social and environmental development and ensures that local people are involved in leading development, local challenges are addressed, and the use of local resources for the development process via a “bottom-up approach”, through the establishment of Local Action Groups (LAGs).

The CLLD Support officer will provide administrative and office-based support for the CLLD Co-ordinator and the wider CLLD LAG and Forum. To achieve this objective they will be responsible for establishing and developing appropriate office management systems, communication mechanisms and management information systems. They will work with the CLLD Co-ordinator in the area based within an AAP locality office and will be in regular contact with members of the public, partner agencies and elected Councillors.

The post will be 16 hrs per week and be based within the Northern AAP Area covering the Stanley, Chester-le-Street and Dipton areas. The post is based at the Stanley Customer Access Point but the role requires regular travel across the North Durham CLLD area.

This post is funded through the European Structural and Investment funds 2014 – 2020 as part of the North Durham CLLD programme.

The post funded through CLLD is fixed term until 31 March 2022.

Required qualifications and experience:

Educated to BTEC National, NVQ Level 3 in Business Admin, or an equivalent qualification

Experience of office procedures; Experience of office management; Experience of dealing efficiently and effectively with a range of partners in a professional manner; Experience of convening, administering and capturing discussions at meetings; Experience of dealing with difficult customers
