NURSERY ASSISTANT’S – CASUAL
(STANLEY’s DAY CARE, CHILDREN’S CENTRES CLUSTER, SOUTH TYNESIDE)
£15,916 pa pro rata

Casual staff required to provide operational cover for staff holidays/ sickness as and when required.

To work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide care and educational support to children and staff under the general direction of the Senior Nursery Officer, across Children’s Centre Clusters within South Tyneside. Nursery assistants will be key workers for children in their care (aged 0-4) and will be expected to operate as Lead Professional for children subject to a Common Assessment. The day-care settings offer childcare from 6 weeks, and the funded 15 hour education offer for 2 and 3 year olds.

The day-care settings are open between 8.00am and 6.00pm and shift patterns for all staff reflect this.

It is Essential Criteria for the post that you have the following qualifications:

• NVQ 3 in Childcare/Education or equivalent

• Level 2 in both English and Mathematics (GCSE grade C or equivalent)
