Full time - salary grade H £34,196 - £36,019 (dependent on experience).

Following additional investment into the management structure of the Occupational Therapy team in social care, we are currently seeking to appoint a dynamic, creative and proactive Advanced Practitioner to support the delivery of high performing, cost effective intervention to eligible Older People, Adults, Children and their Carers.

This is a new post for the team and so we are looking for a suitably qualified Occupational Therapist with extensive experience in social care to provide essential support to the Lead Occupational Therapist particularly in developing and supporting people in the team and continuing to foster effective working relationships with colleagues to the benefit of service users and their families.

The successful applicant will deputise for the Lead Occupational Therapist as appropriate and be responsible for allocating and supervising casework to more junior team members and ensuring eligible residents receive timely and responsive intervention. The postholder will also manage a small, complex caseload of their own, whilst providing support and expert advice to colleagues, peers and stakeholders.

The post is part of the Integrated Occupational Therapy service across South Tees giving wide access to peer support, staff development and integrated working practices across health and social care.

For further information or informal discussion please contact Pat Coates, Lead Occupational Therapist on 01642 771519 or 07818876729

NOTE: previously unsuccessful candidates need not reapply

The authority is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children/young people and vulnerable adults. We expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment and an enhanced disclosure & barring service check (DBS) will be sought.

This principle will apply whether such re-engagement is to be under a contract of employment, contract of services or otherwise’.
